The twelve indicators, in plain language

Relative Strength Index (14)
Measures the speed of recent gains against recent losses on a 0 to 100 scale. Above 70 is overbought, below 30 oversold; 55 to 70 leans buy, 30 to 45 leans sell.
Stochastic oscillator (9, 6)
Shows where the close sits inside the recent high to low range. Readings above 80 are overbought and below 20 oversold.
Stochastic Relative Strength Index (14)
Applies the stochastic formula to the Relative Strength Index itself, so it turns faster and reaches extremes more often.
Moving average convergence divergence (12, 26)
The 12-period exponential average minus the 26-period one. Above zero leans buy, below zero leans sell.
Average directional index (14)
Measures trend strength. Below 20 means no trend; otherwise the direction comes from whichever directional line is on top.
Williams percent range (14)
Like the stochastic, but on a 0 to minus 100 scale. Above minus 20 is overbought, below minus 80 oversold.
Commodity channel index (14)
Distance of price from its average in units of typical deviation. Above 200 is overbought, below minus 200 oversold.
Average true range (14)
Average size of a bar including gaps. It describes volatility, not direction, so it is not counted as a buy or a sell.
Highs and lows (14)
Close against the middle of the 14-bar range. Above the middle leans buy, below leans sell.
Ultimate oscillator (7, 14, 28)
Blends buying pressure over three windows to reduce false signals. Above 50 leans buy.
Rate of change (14)
Percentage change over 14 bars. Positive leans buy, negative leans sell.
Bull and bear power (13)
How far highs and lows reach beyond a 13-period exponential average. Positive leans buy.

Overbought and oversold readings are not counted as votes. They warn that a move is stretched and often precedes a pause, which is why a Strong Buy with several overbought readings is a reason to wait for a dip rather than chase price.
